Zfere Announces Brocade as Strategic Partner for Network Hardware

JOPLIN, MO (PRNewswire) February 21, 2012

Zfere North America, Inc. announced today that it has selected Brocade as a strategic partner for network hardware from Zfere’s transport network to its computation network.  “We have reviewed Brocade’s capabilities over the last year and believe that they represent the right choice for facilitation of our long term projects.” Comments Matt Fussell, Zfere North America’s Platform Manager.  “Brocade provides us with the peace of mind we require in our rapidly expanding environment.”

Steve Vanderbol, CEO of Zfere Holdings commented “Zfere is recognized for specific design standards which brings substantial value to our innovative social commerce platform.  Early on we recognized that Brocade had a similar vision of what ‘the cloud’ should be and considering 100 GbE minimums, naming them as a strategic partner only makes sense.”

As a Strategic Partner, Brocade will supply Zfere with next generation cloud computing infrastructure leveraging Brocade Fabric Technologies and  100 GB Ethernet portfolio.

Zfere Unveils Social Commerce Platform As Part of SOPA/PIPA Protest.

CHARLESTOWN, Nevis, Jan. 18, 2012 — Zfere Holdings Inc. (www.zfere.com) today unveiled its much awaited social commerce platform in conjunction with the Nationwide SOPA Blackout. Zfere Holdings CEO Steve Vanderbol stated, “We chose to unveil our platform today as an example of the technologies which soon may not be available within the US Market due to these misguided and draconian proposals, should they pass into law.”

Zfere’s social commerce platform features tactile technology which enables a user to simply “touch to find” any product, good or service available at a local level from any picture, movie or IPTV content viewed within the integrated media player or social media console. The platform also allows seamless interaction with up to sixteen social media networks through a single point interface on any mobile device currently running the Android or Apple mobile operating systems. As part of its offerings, the company also manages a peer to peer bandwidth sharing network as well as personal data cloud services for its members in addition to a comprehensive business management and marketing suite geared towards small to medium sized businesses.

“From its inception, our social commerce platform was designed to empower people and to encourage them to cut the cord, go mobile, get out in the real world, share their experiences across social media platforms and other communications technologies so they could experience their local and regional worlds more deeply; often to the benefit of their ‘Main Street’ businesses. We all recognize that these local businesses are the core of jobs creation and need the most support in this economic climate. It’s rather ironic that at a time when this country needs emerging technological resources the most, is when proposals such as these, which could potentially remove economy building technologies from the US Market are being contemplated.” Mr. Vanderbol added.

On December 27, 2011, Zfere announced it had begun open registration for its social commerce platform in the United States. Currently, the company is completing durability testing in several US Markets as part of its deployment strategy. Zfere projects complete infrastructure deployment and products availability to all US Markets before the end of the year.

Work, life balance, Really?

Technology was supposed to bring us together, but hasn’t truly succeeded in that pursuit.  In fact, it may have had the opposite affect, reducing personal interactions.  I read an article by Tim Mullaney, last week in the USA Today News, about tech distractions for workers adding up.  Tech interruptions, while racking up costs in excess of $10,000 per worker, have created a culture of rudeness.  “45% of workers say they can’t go 15 minutes, without an interruption.  60% of these interruptions come from emails.  Technology is, no doubt, a wonderful thing but has it upset the balance between our personal lives and our work lives?

Raise your hand if you have never had your smart phone on while vacationing and began answering work emails or calls.  How about sitting in a meeting and staring at your “smart” phone waiting for the notification for that email you have been waiting for.  GUILTY, on both counts!  If it isn’t losing focus while at work, technology is distracting us from our family or personal time.  In my previous life, my company actually provided us with email etiquette training and called for email bans on specific days of the week to increase productivity.  What do we do to improve focus on our personal lives?  Our phones are important to us, but we need to develop the ability to avoid work while playing and vice versa.
